Frequently Asked Questions

Please read this entire page before asking me something. Chances are the answer will be found here. It makes things easier for both of us!

01

Can you provide prints of my commission?

No I do not, sorry. You are more than welcome to send it into your local print shop, kinkos, walgreens, etc if you want. It would honestly be more convenient and less wait time for you!

02

Can I upload my art onto other social media sitesCan I use it with sites like zazzle?

I have no problem with a paying customer uploading the art I've done for THEM onto social websites. You wanna show your friends and family my art? Go right ahead. Just don't claim it was drawn by you. Don't claim it was drawn by anyone else but me and provide proper credit. If you want my fb info just ask me privately through email. Or just provide a link back to this website!

As far as Zazzle and sites like that, the only issue I have is if you plan on selling the merchandise using my art. I won't give permission to do that. But I do not mind if you want to use my art to buy your own customized merchandise from them or for a gift for someone (I understand people do come to me to draw a nice gift for a partner or someone special). Basically you just can't profit off my art. That's a huge no-no!

How large will the art beWhat file type will I receive it inCan I ask for it to be a certain size or file type?

When I open a new file to begin a new commission it is at least 3500 px wide (unless an individual commission requires an adjustment in dimensions) and a 300 resolution as jpeg and the canvas will cropped to the shape of your standard 8 x 10 print. Making the quality perfect for some size prints if you wish to get some for yourself. If you want to get a print done in a certain size or certain product from zazzle, etc. please double check with the site's size and file requirements and I'll be more than happy to make sure your art is done in the appropriate size/file. Or if you want the dimensions of the file suited for a different size print ( 4 x 6, 5 x 7, etc) just let me know!

Please keep in mind if you want to use my art for a t-shirt (or totebag, etc), you'll need it in a png so the background is transparent when printed onto the product so you must let me know!

How long is the wait for my art?

Honestly the wait can change at any g[iven moment. It can vary usually from 2 weeks - 4 weeks. The wait mostly depends on how many other commissions I have before you and my other daily responsibilies. Freelancing is not my full time job. I work nights and weekends and care for my niece and nephew throughout the day - so I'm always juggling. Currently my pace hasn't been very speedy. I rarely work on art over the weekends. If you expect your art by any certain time, please give me enough time or ask if you're unsure if it would be cutting it too close (for all you know I have no other commissions and can get yours done in a week!). If you do have a certain deadline, PLEASE MENTION IT TO ME IN YOUR INITIAL EMAIL. That way I can be especially time conscious!

If anything were to change your wait time drastically I will always keep you informed (illness, family stuff, etc) and I always contact you to let you know I'm about to begin your commission just so you are kept informed!

Can I cancel a commission and get my money back?

Cancellations will go on a case-by-case basis. Ask me if it's possible, giving me a reasonable explanation and I'll see what I can do. If I have begun working on your commission a cancellation and refund will not be possible. If I am finished with your art and you are dissatisfied I will make minor changes to accomodate your wishes but if you are completely dissatisfied and we can't come to some sort of even ground I will not refund your money - with each commission I do my best to communicate as much as possible with my customers to ensure the end result matches what they are wanting.
